Hi @Rasheedat_Lateef

Thanks for sharing your experience in UAE. If you would like to know more about the Australian visa in association with Hep B, have a look at this post I published last year. You may find some helpful information.

I was born in 2000 and lives in Afghanistan
I was graduated from high school at 2017, I had a prize from higher education ministry it was scholarships in economics faculty in Islamic republics of Iran unfortunately they rejected me because of HBV.
But I passed national entrance university exam I was accepted in General Medicine faculty second prize of higher education ministry was a scholarship in General Medicine at republic of solvakia unfortunately I was rejected again from embassy of solvakia in Iran by embassy workers.
So I continued my education in Afghanistan I graduated from faculty last year at this moment I am at final months of my internship program( as M.D ) Doctor in Afghanistan at a government hospital.

I would like to immigrate to a new country for , work , Medical residency,PHD ā€¦ā€¦ I donā€™t have so much money but Iā€™m still positive of HBV

Which country I can to immigrate and how ? ?
Thanks
We stay together against of HBV

Hi @B.ga

Thanks for your question. I have moved your query to this post as you may find some relevant information about other community membersā€™ experiences with immigration.
I donā€™t have the exact information of which countries grant visas regardless of Hep B status. However, if you have a particular country in mind, you may discuss your query in this post or the ā€œRegion Specific Supportā€ section.

Also, have a look at Immigration and International Issues Ā» Hepatitis B Foundation for more information on this matter.

I hope this helps,

Sumaya

Its dream and what we pray for everyday to find a cure to this HBV. How my Visa was denied after securing a Job in Saudia Arabia last year 2024, little did i know i will be denied visa for testing Positive for Hepatitis. Just recently again in this year 2025 i was denied another work Visa to Travel to Kuwait after failing medical for living with HBV. This experience was depressing, it was later i found out majority of the countries in middle east rejects giving visas to people living with HBV. I never bother to apply for another one at UAE Dubai because i knew they will deny me visa, so no need wasting my resources. I find this disease as a curse inside me.

I am job hunting but the morale is low.

You should try UAE. Visa rules are better than other Middle East countries

hep b test is required only for following 5 categories of jobs

  • Workers in nurseries
  • Domestic workers including housemaids, nannies and drivers
  • Food handlers and workers in restaurants and cafes
  • Workers in saloons and beauty centres
  • Workers in health clubs

If your job is in above categories , unfortunately they wonā€™t issue a Visa. But if you are working in other categories then you should be good

Thanks for this, what about security guard or safety officer?

I am not an expert in immigration, but I would say you wonā€™t fall in those 5 categories and may be eligible for UAE visa. Please speak to a immigration consultant. Wish you all the best!
