Hepatitis B patients: Bad things turn into good things

On November 12, 2024, I went to the hospital to make an appointment for a colonoscopy. I had blood drawn on the same day. The results of the afternoon test showed that I was HBsAg positive (I was infected with the hepatitis B virus when I was very young and had not received any treatment). So the next day I went to a more professional hospital for a five-item hepatitis B blood test. The doctor told me that I still did not need any treatment and that I was an “inactive HBsAg carrier”.

I am very happy that I found https://www.hepb.org/ and https://www.hepbcommunity.org/ , which makes me feel very safe. I can learn more professional knowledge and communicate with different people. This is great. There is no such professional website and community in China (at least I haven’t searched it yet). There are also many hepatitis B patients in China. I hope that Chinese hepatitis B patients can also know this website and community.

I have a very firm value: turning bad things into good things. This is part of Chinese thought and philosophy. I am deeply influenced by it. I hope you can also try this kind of thinking change.
